cardigan + dress: New Look
ring: Topshop
I bought this dress last Summer, it was one of those items where you like it, but decide there and then it won't suit you. Then you keep walking past it and decide to try it on, and love it.. and then nearlly don't buy it because you don't think you'll ever wear it. I'm very happy i ended up buying this in the end, it's also probably the brightest thing in my wardrobe too! So many reasons as to why i'd usually never go near a dress like this. The fact it sits more or less where my bra is, therefore revealing a lot puts me off.. i hate having any part of my cleavage exposed, not that i have much of a cleavage, but that's not the point, it's just not me. Also the fact that is a maxi dress worries me, i'm scared it makes me look short and stumpy as oposed to the elegant look i'm going for. I love the pattern and the top and bottom of this dress though, it's just gorgeous. I haven't thought as of yet what shoes i'm going to wear with this..dammit. The fifth photo made me laugh hence why i posted, i was not pulling a serious face, mother took the photo as i was licking my lips haha! THANKS MUM!
ANOTHER glorious day here in the UK..my photos were taken rather early today for me, around 9am, and look at that sunshine already, absolutely beautiful! I've woken up in such a good mood, i'm bloated like crazy and for some reason can't stop yawning but nothings going to kill my good mood! Although, i'm being dragged along to my brothers football presentation open day thingy, which i really don't want to go to now the weathers so nice. But no, my parents are adamant i go, grr.
Considering i'm wearing a Maxi Dress today, i thought i'd show you a couple i like from High Street shops, there are some really nice pieces around at the moment, but these are my fav's.
1. From ASOS, for £92.00. Quite pricey, but perfect for those summer evenings where you want a nice classy look. Could chose this dress in a violet colour to, but i preer the black. It's simple and slimming, With a pair of gold sandles and a gold pendant necklace would be gorgeous.
2. From Topshop for £30.00. Reasonably priced bandeau feather print maxi. Such a beautiful mixture of colours makes for such a lovely dress. Little accessories needed for this as theres such a peaceful pattern, perhaps a few bangles and a pretty ring.
3. From ASOS for £34.00 originally but has now been reduced to £14.00. Vibrant colours make this jersey tube maxi dress so striking, perfect if you want to make a statement. Minimal accessories required as the pattern is so bold, a small necklace would suffice.
4. From River Island this coral grecian maxi dress is great for those summer nights. Nicely priced at £26.99, would definately be one to take away with you this summer. The halter neck looks is great for achieving that sultry sexy look as it means the dress will be backless.

You definitely look elegant! The colour really suits you. I've never tried on a maxi dress before because I'm so little, but I might have to give it a go now :) xx

That dress is so cute. I love the bright colours.
I think my favourite dress is the black one from asos. You could dress that up or down.

This looks so good on you! I've always thought of you as someone who's a short person. Perhaps I'm wrong? It makes you look so long and lean! Love it. Suits you very well.
