NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS
So, it's that time of year again. Where everyone starts saying 'New Year, New Me'. Well i think i'm going to be a bit more original and not so cliché this year, because what's the point in saying you're going to be a new person next year, if you have no ideas or goals set in place, right!?
Here are a few ideas/resolutions that i really am hoping to put in place into the New Year. Let me start off with some pretty simple ones, that the majority of people will be saying their going to try and implement.
- to stop smoking.
- to go to the gym 3-4 times a week.
- to lose some weight.
They're pretty ordinary aren't they? Most people will want to stop smoking, and i, personally love any big occasion to use it as a mark to change something in my life. I started smoking properly only at the beginning of the year, and that was mostly because when i was in the eating disorder unit it was the only way to actually go outside and get some 'fresh' air. I've had a gym membership for a while, kindly paid for by my mother as a bid to get me out the house doing something a little more productive, so i really hope to be able to do at least 3 days a week in the New Year at the gym, because it's pointless having a membership otherwise. Thing is, i love exercising, it's just overcoming the anxiety of going, and building up the motivation to go again. Losing weight, a very typical New Years Resolution by the majority after the big Christmas feasts! I don't want to go to the extreme of getting ill again, but i do want to lose some.
So, that's the boring ones out the way, here are some more well thought out and productive Resolutions personalised for myself.
- to try and blog 3-4 times a week. Fashion, Lifestyle, OOTD, and another.
- to completely change my bedroom, get it looking pretty and having it the way i want it.
- to try and go to work at my voluntary job more.
- to only buy clothes once a month.
So a typical blogging New Years Resolution, "to blog more". Well, this year i have completely neglected my blog i think. There have been so many big and horrible problems that have happened this year that have stopped me focusing on my blog as much as i'd of liked to. I want to try and have a bit more organisation with my blog too, but trying to do a fashion, lifestyle, OOTD and 1 other blog post a week. Giving it some routine i think will be quite good for it. Right, so changing my bedroom being another one, i don't need it decorated, but i do need a few bits and bobs doing to it, firstly fixing the hole in my ceiling preferably! I really need to go to my volunteer job more, i feel like a bit of a let down, but that is by no fault of my own as i have no control over my health. Lastly, to only buy clothes once a month. This is probably going to be my toughest resolution to stick to as i am a true shopaholic! I spend way too much money on clothes, so i think limiting myself to buying clothes once a month is a great stepping stone to cutting down!
Right, so that's it! I'd love to hear what resolutions you have in mind for the upcoming year! I'm really going to try and stick to these as best as i can, it's going to be hard but it'll all be worth it in the end.
I'll be out celebrating New Years Eve tomorrow evening with my friends at a local club that we always go to, so i'm wishing you all a Happy New Year filled with happiness!
