Dress: (*) Lashes of London

I was really excited to receive this gifted item sent to be by Lashes of London. It's definitely something that i'd say is very 'me'. The only thing i was uncertain of was the cut out around the midriff, though this is in fashion at the moment, it's not something that i'm personally comfortable but i thought i'd push the boat out and trying something out of my comfort zone and i'm so glad i did. The dress is made of really nice material, making it a bit heavier than the usual piece of clothing and it's got a cord-like texture to it and has a zip and 3 buttons up the left hand side, and as opposed to some zips, this zip was easy to do up. I love the heart cut out detailing being in gold as i think due to the dress being black, they really compliment one another, making this piece a statement piece for any girls wardrobe. It could be worn casually or as evening wear, it all depends on how you accessorize the outfit. Personally, i think i've styled this dress smart-casual, showing that this dress can be versatile. Due to my own insecurities, i'm wearing a light pink top on underneath to give the appearance that i wasn't wearing a top on, yet adding a nice subtle touch to the outfit. I'm not wearing any accessories with this outfit, because i believe in this case - less is more. Especially due to the amazing detailing on the dress.

Thank you for the kind comment on my blog
You look amazing. Great dress and I love how you've styled it with the pink top. I not only think this looks better than bare midriff but actually a lot more daring. I always think if there's a cut out you've got to show skin so this is out of my comfort zone. Very very cool x
