Happy 5th Birthday COURTZMELV

Today is a bittersweet day. It is my blogs 5th birthday, but it also 5 years since my Grandma passed away.



COURTZMELV was born on 22nd October 2010 and is still going strong at present. When i created this blog, it was on the day i was discharged from a week in hospital after having a big operation on my hip and also the day my dear Grandma passed. I created this blog as a way to honour my Grandma, and letting her spirit live through me. I also started it due to the fact that i'd been reading blogs for a while and thought as i was going to be incapacitated for a while, that i might as well start one. I was very close with my Grandma and i miss her everyday, but each time i post on this blog, i know she would be proud of me and what i've achieved.

If you don't know me personally you probably won't know this but the name COURTZMELV is just my first name and surname merged together. Courtney Melville = COURTZMELV.
To think i started this blog when i was 16 and i'm going to be 22 in December is just crazy.

I mostly write about what i'm wearing as i find OOTD's easiest to talk about, but i also dabble in lifestyle and beauty, and i'm keen to learn more everyday. This blog has kept me sane as i've gone through some of the hardest times in my life. It's the first thing i've ever truly stuck with, and even i'm surprised i've kept my blog going for this amount of time! I am so proud of what this blog has become and how it has grown with me throughout the years.
Over the years i have had the opportunity to work with some amazing brands and go to some great events and i am truly grateful! The fact people want to work with my blog still baffles me to this day, i mean, i just post what i wear and people seem to like that. Well i promise to continue doing what i'm doing and hopefully incorporate some more great content into my blog.
