Hi guys! My name is Belle and I write Mascara & Maltesers, a makeup and beauty blog. No chocolate involved, yet! I was super excited when Courtney asked my to write a guest post for her on her lovely blog, and it is lovely to meet you all.
I have tried many volume sprays in the past, and I don't really like any. They just weight my hair down, so the total opposite of what they are meant to do! So I didn't have much expectations of the Philip Kingsley Maximizer either, even though the high price should mean it works. I'll be honest and as you can more than likely see I picked up the trial version. No way was I shelling out for a £20 odd bottle for it not to be used and be a beautiful dressing table addition!
I spray this all over my hair, although you could use this just on your roots, after shampooing and conditioning. In the directions, they suggest to gently blow dry for maximum volume, but to be honest I hate blow drying my hair so much, so it usually involves my head upside down and me wishing for volume! But with the Maximizer I'm left with is a huge hair of body and volume and I love it. I saw instant results and it held until my next wash. I don't really need to use this product to style my hair everyday as my hair isn't flat but I do have tons of static flyaways and frizz.
When I have a little more time, or even better someone to do it for me, I'll try it slower to see if it makes a huge difference.
The Maxmizer is proven to work with coloured hair as well as fine and thin hair. Another huge thumbs up from me, unfortunately for my purse Philip Kingsley is fast becoming my favourite hair care brand! You can pick up the Maximizer for £22. Although pop into Mark and Spencer's where they do trial sizes at a cheaper price. But shhh!
