The Bloggers Blog Awards
Friday 9 October 2015
On the 3rd of October i was lucky enough to be able to go up to Leeds with my mum for the Bloggers Blog Awards, for which i was shortlisted in the Best Longstanding Fashion Blog category! I took quite a few photos but unfortunately they came out really bad which i'm not happy about. I did manage to get some good photos though, just not of anyone claiming their award unfortunately.
Hayley (Tea Party Beauty) who created the Bloggers Blog Awards did an amazing job. The event was held at Lamberts Yard in Leeds, which have a great event space, as well as their own clothing store downstairs. There was big goody bags for the winners, a prize for the bloggers who were highly commended, a huge raffle table (which i won quite a bit off), a sweet table, a bar. Absolutely perfect for a blog event. Hayley was amazing, messaging me before the event making sure there was a lift and that i would be okay.
When i arrived i grabbed myself a glass of prosecco, and mum got a coke and we tried to interact with other bloggers. I met some amazing people there! Jemma from Dorkface is just an absolute babe! It was such a pleasure to meet her, not only is she stunning, she is the most loveliest girl! I got to chat to a couple of other people, but being in my wheelchair i found it very difficult to integrate with other bloggers.
It was great to see everyone supporting each other during the ceremony though. When people were going up and getting their awards you heard everyone clapping and squealing to show their support. I was so proud of everyone who made it into the shortlist and to the people who won. Everyone was a winner in my eyes! I didn't win my category but congratulations to Helen from The Love Cats Inc who did! I can't even believe my name was in a booklet with some amazing comments from people who nominated me. To be in there with such amazing bloggers was an honour.
Towards the end of the event, the raffle took place. My mum and i both bought £6 worth of tickets each, and then just before the raffle began i bought one more. Between my mum and i we won 3 Look Fantastic boxes, 2 blog prints, a Magnitone and a Lamberts Yard gift card. I was absolutely over the moon! With the Lamberts Yard gift card, we had to go to the clothing store that was downstairs and i got the chance to pick something out of their range. They said the things i was allowed to choose out of, but i fell in love with a gorgeous black cape. It was £140, so they were a bit hesitant to let me have it but they did! There will be a post to follow with that cape featured as it is just gorgeous! I was standing next to the PR girl from La Redoute, Laura, who was laughing at me winning so much on the raffle, to then find out i'd won a colouring book from them! She was fab!
All in all, my time at the awards wasn't what i expected, but to the people i did meet and that took the time to say hello. Thank you. Thanks to Hayley again for creating the awards, i discovered some great new blogs through it! Thanks to my mum for taking me and for a great weekend in Leeds and thank you to anyone who nominated and voted for me!

Unfortunately though, I truly think being in the wheelchair and having a disability held me back at the awards. I also feel that maybe people were afraid to approach me because of it. I sent out a tweet after the awards saying how i felt invisible while i was there. I was nearly crying during the awards, and i just wanted the ground to swallow me up. I didn't get a selfie with anyone or in any photos which actually really upset me. It made me feel like i was back at school and that i was being singled out, and during the ceremony i just sat at the back with my mum. I don't think people were doing it intentionally, but i just hope me writing this will hopefully draw attention to the fact that people with disabilities are just the same as everyone else.

Nails #5
Wednesday 7 October 2015
As some of you may know i was shortlisted in the #BloggersBlogAwards in the Best Longstanding Fashion Blog category. I didn't win, but there will be a post about it on here soon enough. Of course i had to go and get my nails done so that they were look fresh for the awards.
I decided to go for this purple colour, with a glittery sequin effect on the accent nail. These were perfect for the awards as they went amazingly with my pink dress that also had sequins on. I'm also going to a wedding this weekend, and we've been asked to wear something purple, so these nails are going to be perfect! The dress i'll be wearing you can see in this previous post.
I think this purple colour is quite Autumnal too as it's a deep purple as opposed to a lilac colour. The accent nail with the glitter is just beautiful. It has the purple colour underneath with a purple glitter on top. I absolutely love them and they were perfect for the Awards and will be perfect for the Wedding!
What do you like on your accent nail?

I'm really trying to start getting more Beauty posts on my blog and i thought what better way to start than with a 'My Everyday Makeup Look' post! These photos aren't the best because i'm still learning more about makeup everyday, but this is just kind of me getting the hang of the basics.
I recently purchased the L'oreal Infallible Foundation and i actually love it! The shade Vanilla colour matches to my skin perfectly! It doesn't feel cakey when i wear it either, and it keeps me matte all day with the help from the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. My all time favourite concealer at the moment is all everyones favourite, the Collection Lasting Perfection one. It is fabulous and i find it covers my dark circles perfectly! In this photo i think i've over bronzed my cheeks, but that's not surprising considering i'm still trying to improve. I should of blended it more or used some tissue to take some of the product off. I accidentally bought 2 of the highlighter i'm wearing so i'm hoping to get more use out of it. I probably could of put a bit more on the apples of my cheeks. Once all my makeup is finished i spray the Makeup Fixing Spray from Makeup Revolution on my face about 3 times and i genuinely think it does hold my makeup in place as nothing smudges or smears!
For my eyebrows i'm loving using the Benefit Gimee Brow but for something so small it's quite expensive at £18.50. No idea what i'm gonna do when i run out because i don't want to spend nearly £20 on a piece of makeup. (I'm a cheapskate) I'm also loving Benefit Roller Lash. I fell in love with this mascara when it came out and it's still a firm favourite of mine. I've had this L'oreal eyeshadow palette for a while but only just used it the other day and i'm loving some of the colours in there that are perfect for everyday such as the golds and beiges.
Lip wise, i'm wearing my favourite nude combination which is the Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Liner in Spice and the Rimmel X Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in 08. I think they compliment each other really well. Unfortunately in the closer photos of my lips which i haven't used, my lip liner is showing more on one side than the other so i think i need some more practice with it. The lipstick i take everywhere with me i've bought it about 3 times now and still love it.
I hope you like this sort of post and there should be more beauty posts in the future :)
-side note. As you're reading this i will be in Leeds attending the #bloggersblogawards awards ceremony at 3pm. I'd love to have won but if i haven't i'll survive. Wish me luck!!

H&M Knitted Pink Jumper (similar here)
New Look Black High Waisted Skinny Jeans
Primark Black Chelsea Boots (similar here)
Miss Selfridge Silver Layered Necklace (similar here)
Firstly i'm going to apologise if these links don't work now, but i've had to write this post in advance and schedule it. Hopefully the links will still work, but if not, then sorry.
This is such a simple outfit, but sometimes simple outfits can be the best ones. As you can see i'm wearing jeans, which is very rare as usually i'm in either in a skirt or dress. I really wanted a nice pair of black high waisted jeans and when i saw these i just bought them without really thinking about it whether i'd wear them. I do like them but whether i'll get much wear out of them is a different story. I got this knitted pink jumper from H&M at the end of Spring, beginning of Summer, and i love it. It's so cosy and i'm a big fan of the pale pink colour. It's a very simple jumper but on the arms it looks kind of like it's inside out. I think it's a really nice little detail though. I love chelsea boots when the Autumn/Winter seasons appear, i just think they're an amazing style of shoe. I bought this Primark pair for £13 which i thinks a pretty reasonable price for a pair of shoes. Due to the zips on the sides of these and the way i walk means the zip always catches my leg, especially when i'm wearing tights which is most of time. I've actually gone and bought a pair from New Look because these are just going to rip holes in my tights. There perfect for when i'm going out in the wheelchair though as i'll just be sitting. I love this necklace. There was another part to it but my dad accidentally broke it which is a shame as it was another layered necklace but with 3 layers and with this one it just looked incredible. I think this necklace still looks really good together and can really just add something to an outfit. I also really like my hair & makeup in these photos, and it's actually how my hair goes naturally which is a win!
