Leaving our footprints on the ground

This look to me is very American. The baseball cap shouts this at me. I'm really loving gingham at the momento, it's never something i used to be a fan of, but as i've got older i've learnt to love it. This pink check cropped shirt is gorgeous. I'm not a big fan of the fact it's cropped, hence why i've worn it with high waisted jeans, but it's still allowed a bit of my stomach to be shown, which i'm not best pleased about, but it's my own fault. If i was concerned about that, i shouldn't of bought it in the first place. But anyways, i think the shirt with the jeans creates a very simple look, and the baseball cap just gives the look a bit of an edge.

So this is a different look for me as opposed to the girly looks i usually go for. This is a bit of a bad girl look, something i'm quite fond of actually. How cool is my tie-dye top? It's something i made myself during arts & crafts at The Priory, i absolutely love it, plus, no one has one the same! I decided to wear all black or near enough to black clothes to emphasise the tie-dye top and it would help me to portray the bad girl image i was going for. The cap is something new for me, i'm still not 100% sure about it, what do you guys think? Sandals have surprisingly made a come back, and i'm actually loving them, so much so i had to buy a pair, which i've totallly fallen in love with!

Bloggers Questionnaire

When did you start your blog?
I first started blogging on 22nd October 2010, but have only in the last 18 months have i started really focusing on my blog and caring about it. Now it's like my little baby!

Have you had any other online presence before?
Nope, this is my first blog, and i now have youtube channel too, and pinterest which i don't use too much of unfortunately. But i've used twitter and Facebook for as long as i can remember.

Why did you start your blog?
I'd just come out of hospital after having a serious operation on my leg, and then my Grandma passed away and i kind of needed a distraction. I'd read a few blogs in the past, so i thought why the heck don't i start one.

When did you become serious about starting a blog?
I reckon the last 18 months or so i've really started taking my blog seriously and i'm enjoying it so much. Like i said in the first question, my blog is my baby.

 What was your first post?
My first post was a little and short post, this is what it read"'i've learnt recently that it's pretty easy to keep people happy. learn to smile constantly, and don't complain. - it's that simple. and the people who you don't manage to please, tend to be the ones that are never satisfied."

What is the most rewarding thing to you about blogging?
I love getting to know the whole blogging community and connecting with other bloggers. Little comments on my blog can seriously brighten up my day, and when people say they like my blog, or the read it regularly just makes me feel so elated. Working with companies and being invited to events/parties is always a plus too.

What is the most discouraging thing that happens to you?
I've had  a few people comment on my weight calling me fat, or saying that they don't like my blog. I just think, keep your opinions to yourself and why read or even check my blog if you don't like it!

 What's your lasting motivation/inspiration?
I started this blog the day my Grandma died so this blog is like dedicated to her memory. I'm so motivated to make it something she'd be proud of.

Do you hope to gain anything out of blogging?
I'd like to become a fashion journalist or something in a similar field to do with fashion, so i'm hoping that this may open windows for that. I'd love for blogging to be my fulltime job!

What do you like about blogging?
I just love writing and taking photos of what im wearing and doing reviews. I also look forward to what people think of my outfits and reviews, and getting positive or negative feedback is always welcome as i'd love to improve my blog as much as possible

Have you got a favourite blog?
I don't have a favourite blog, each blog has it's own individuality about it, and that's what appeals to me, and i suppose different things appeal to different people. But you can find some of my favourites on my blogroll.

Is there anything you'd recommend for newbie bloggers?
Just be yourself. Blog about what interests you and don't just follow the trend. People like reading posts that aren't so samey so don't feel like you have to copy other bloggers. Individuality is key.

Fell from the sky

Cardigan: H&M
Top: Ebay
Skirt: Primark
Wedges: New Look

How sophisticated is this ay? Pretty dressy for even the likes of me, and i like to be all dressed up. This lace red skirt is something i bought in the Primark sale for the small price of £1! How fabulous is that! I was best pleased because a midi skirt like this is something i didn't have, yet needed in my wardrobe. This cardigan is new too, nice & fluffy and perfect for the chilly days we have here in England, which seem to be very often. I thought my 'more issues than vogue' top would look good with this outfit, and i think i was right to think that becuase it really does add something that the outfit would of been lacking otherwise.

We're in heaven

Jacket: Boohoo
Necklace & Top: New Look
Skirt: Fashion Union
Shoes: Topshop

This bomber jacket, in this colour = total perfection. Isn't it just beautiful?! I'm totally loving the pastel trend, and this pastel turquoise is just stunning! I think this pastel shade really compliments the pastel pink on the dogtooth skirt. I love the dogtooth look, especially on skirts, it really makes everything look that little bit more sophisticated. I've kept this outfit quite simple, and have added a simple silver pendant necklace to jazz it up a little bit. The colours really speak for themselves, so there is no need to go OTT with the accessories.

Just want to shout out to the girl who's been keeping me sane these past few weeks since i've been in hospital, Lauren Edwards, thanks for making me smile everyday!

If i could change your mind

Dress & Cardigan: Primark
Necklace: New Look
Shoes: Charity Shop

I'm such a lover of the colour pink, not that my hair gives that away or anything. But yes, pastel pink has to be one of my favourite colours, and i especially love clothes that colour, as this outfit shows. Both my cardigan and dress are from Primarni (Primark), so i got them at quite a bargain price. The dress is a gorgeous piece, and i love the simplicity of it. The upper half of the dress is a bit glittery as opposed to the bottom half. Due to the dress and cardigan both being quite plain i thought i needed to add a bit of bling to jazz it up a bit, so i added this chunky silver necklace. To finish of the outfit i'm wearing a little pair of black heels, something that every girl needs.

Keepin' it real

Hat: H&M
Jumper: Topshop
Leggings: New Look
Shoes: Barratts

Aren't you just loving the pastel trend this SS14. I absolutely adore it, and when i saw this fluffy pastel turquoise jumper in Topshop, i just had to have it! It's such a gorgeous colour, a colour that isn't seen enough anymore, and the fluffiness is just a major plus. Also, considering how cold it usually is here in the UK during Spring & Summer, this lovely little addition to my wardrobe will be the perfect go-to piece on a cold day. I decided to wear this jumper with a cute little bowler hat and a pair of black & white check leggings. I'm never won to usually wear leggings that aren't black, but i had to make an acception with these. They're something i reckon i'll wear quite a lot and i really like this look that i've achieved.

Not that you can see it, but underneath my jumper, and hidden quite well, is my pink plaster cast. I've got to keep it on for another month, which i'm not best pleased about, as it doesn't exactly go with some of my outfits and just looks out of place. I think i'm going to continue to hide it as best i can!
