New Look Inforgraphic

Wednesday 31 July 2013

This New Look Inforgraphic takes you through all the festival fashions, dating back as far as 1969. Personally, my favourite festival fashion eras have to be those of the late 1960's and late 1990's. The fashion is definitely right up my street and something that i'd want to wear and feel comfortable in, along with making a great fashion statement. I think this Inforgraphic that New Look have created is great, as it allows you to see festival fashion through the eras, and you can see how it has gradually changed through the years. Each and everyones style and induvidual fashion sense is different, so my favourite style may not be the same as yours, although i'm interested in what you're interested in wearing this festival year. What are your do's and don'ts, and what is your favourite fashion era?

Soap & Glory Fab Pore

Tuesday 30 July 2013

I bought this Soap & Glory Fab Pore facial peel a couple of weeks ago, i wasn't entirely sure what to expect when i bought it, but with clogged up pores i thought i'd give this ago. You can apply it for either 5 minutes was a quick cleanse or 15 minutes for a deep cleanse. The product was creamy with little green exfoliant balls that you have to rub into your skin until they disolve. I have sensitive skin and it didn't affect my skin, so sensitive skinned people, your safe with this! I opted for applying it for 15 minutes, thinking that i'd just peel it off afterwards. Unfortunately, despite saying it's a 'facial peel' i had to wash it off, it came off easily. Though a tad disappointed that it didn't just peel off, the pros definitely outweighed the cons because it left my skin felt so silky smooth afterwards and my pores definitely felt unclogged. I would recommend this product if your looking for a product that is going to unclog your pores and leave you with a soft face.

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur

Top: Camden Market
Skirt: H&M
Blazer: Primark

If you're a Big Bang Theory lover like me, then you'll understand that when i saw this tee with the 'soft kitty' song written on it, i just had to have it. I was tempted to buy a jumper that said 'BAZINGA' on it too, but i managed to resist. How cute is this tee though? The image of the cat is so sweet, and i like the font that the song is written in too, and that's what attracted me to it in the first place. I decided to make the main focus of this outfit the tee, but i thought the neon coloured skirt would be a great addition to this outfit, and the cropped blazer really highlights the print on the tee.

I've had a pretty calm weekend. I stupidly punched a wall in frustration and spent some of Saturday in A&E, luckily it wasn't broken, just severely bruised the bone, which is definitely better than a break!

Courtney In Wonderland

Jacket: Primark
Dress: Market
Ring: New Look
I bought this dress at the weekend, and my boyfriend actually suggested that i buy it, well, let's just say i'm glad that he did because i absolutely love this dress. It's got little cat print all over it and the shade of blue is lovely and really seems to suit my skin tone aka milkbottle white. There's a tie which i think is meant to sit at the back of the dress but i thought it'd be nice tied to sit on the side instead. I decided to wear this little white jacket/blazer with this dress to keep the girly look, and once i'd added the jacket i instantly thought this outfit reminded me of Alice In Wonderland, what do you lot think? I kept the jewellery simple by adding a double finger floral cross ring and i think the shoulder pads on the jacket created a nice enough look without having to add anymore jewellery.

I'm off out for coffee with a friend of many years in a bit and then i'm just spending the day resting. I had quite a busy day yesterday and i finally have an ankle brace for my EDS which has already stopped my foot rolling in. Yes, this is one of the reasons i don't ever post the shoes i wear because i'm so limited to what i can wear that they're like the same everyday, either a pair of black plimsolls or black brogues haha.

My make-up routine!

Wednesday 24 July 2013

DSCF0684 DSCF0685 DSCF0687 DSCF0688 DSCF0689

(pre hair cut) So this is my make-up routine. It is pretty simple, achieved in a matter of minutes and isn't too extravagant. I use high street products, and tend to stick to what i know, being a bit nervous about trying out new products. Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse was the only foundation i finally found that worked for me, so was very happy when i eventually found one that worked for me. I'm really happy with all my make-up products that i currently use, but besides being a tad nervous about trying out new products, i am definitely going to be trying to add new products to my routine. Below you can watch a video of how i apply my make-up to achieve my daily made up face, and can see the transformation from before make-up, to after make-up.

Barratts Chelsea Boots Review

Tuesday 23 July 2013

Boots: (*) Barratts

I was recently contacted by someone at Barratts and was asked if i would like to review a pair of their shoes of my choice. I've been lusting after a pair of Chelsea Boots for ages, so that's what i decided to choose. These Double Gussest Pull On Chelsea Boots are exactly what i expected them to be like - fabulous. I oppted for a black pair, as i thought i'd then be able to wear them with most outfits. Not only are they exceptionally comfortable, and easy to walk in, they look great too. The small heel on the boot, is just enough to walk in comfortably, and they're not slippery like most heeled boots i tend to find. These are the type of boots i've been after for a long time, and i'm glad i got to do a good review on them. I'd definitely advise you to shop at Barratts if you're after a good pair of Chelsea Boots, as they really are great. These are definitely my favourite pair of shoes that i own currently.

You are my sunshine

Dress: New Look
Belt: ASOS
Choker: Market
Lipstick: Soap & Glory (Man Trap)
I bought this dress recently as i decided that for Summer, i definitely needed brighter colours to wear in my wardrobe, so this neon dress was a must. I've decided to accessorize with a simple silver choker and peace sign belt. I love the block colour of the dress against the block of white round my waist as i think it seperates the dress and really just adds a bit of oomph. Yes, even in this ridiculously hot weather for England, i'm still wearing tights, (stupid i know), but everyone has their own insecurities.

If you didn't see in my last post, i now have a boyfriend. How crazy is that! Though, still i awe about it, i'm a very happy girly! Besides that i've got a good few posts lined up this week, some beauty posts and a couple reviews, so keep your eyes peeled!
