Blazer: Primark. Dress(as a top): H&M. Jeans: Sainsburys. Bracelet: Cutey

My mum being the cutie that she is went food shopping the other day, saw these jeans and bought them for me. I was quite uncertain of them at first, bold colours is never something i've worn much of, especially when it comes to jeans too, i tend to always stick to black as far as they are concerned. I was quite suprised with these jeans though, not only did they fit really well and were comfortable, but i actually felt alright in them, self-esteem wise. Not something i would usually go for, but it's nice to change it up a bit occasionaly. I'm wearing a summer dress which is made of such a light material that i thought i could get away with wearing it as a top. I've tucked it in and then ruched it so it sits nicely. I've added a blazer to smarten it up and to keep the chill off. I got this bag off Ebay, i genuinely have no idea where it's from, theres  no label, nothing. But how darling is it? Perfect for this Summer.. i think so.. and a nice contrast to the pinkness of this outfit too!

I've decided to actually start trying to do something with my life now. I don't work, and i'm not in education due to medical issues, so i've literally just been bumming around. Well, not anymore, i need to find something to do, some sort of work i'm thinking. I've finally got around to creating an account on Star Now, looking or modelling work. Might as well give it a shot ay, haven't exactly got anything to lose. I've got a meeting with a photographer tomorrow as well, he's considering having me as his Muse which would be such a great starting point for me, as well as an amazing opportunity! Wish me luck!

Dress: Urban Outfitters. Jumper: New Look. Tights: Topshop.

This dress is something i bought in the sale a long while ago, thought it was cute and i loved the unique pattern, i knew i had to have it. As a dress on it's own, it hangs off me. (I really should of tried it on before i bought it) But ohwell, it's nice. I've got a belt underneath round the waist to keep the dress in place and sitting how i want it too. Although the weather is improving here in Hertfordshire, it's still chilly, damn the deceptive weather - i want summer! I've put a black jumper on over the top, pretty simple, but i didn't really want to push the boat out too far. Yes, still too cold to go bare legged too, so i'm wearing trusty tights, as per. It's a cute little outfit, the pattern  on the dress reminds me of those dresses back i the 50's. So it's got a nice vintage-esque to it. Decided my nails needed a summery colour too them, i opted for pastel purple, courtesy of Barry M.

I've really let me blog slip recently. I've been busy, well busy doing nothing, mostly playing Sims 3. (I wish i was joking) I've been busy with hospital appointments too. They take up such a big part of my life, so frustrating. On the plus side though, since doing Miss Hertfordshire, my confidence has improved a tad, any increase is a positive right! Although, i'm very nervous about the Miss Intercontinental England pageant on the 8th April. Theres a swimwear round, which i am absolutely dreading. Definately going to be purchasing a sarong for that round without a doubt!

Readers of my blog will know that i was a finalist in the Miss Hertfordshire competition. I competed on the 18th March 2012, it was a great day and i met some lovely girls and got to work with some great people, such as the organiser Sue Waite and the Choregrapher, Lisa who is the Choregrapher for the Miss England competiton. I didn't place, but i didn't expect to, all in all i only really did the Beauty Pageant to boost my confidence and i can safely say that i really did. I had a wonderful time!
The first outfit that i'm wearing is an Eco-Friendly material, the top is made of bubblewrap and the skirt is made out of a bin liner, pretty cool right!? The evening dress i bought from a little shop in Font Hill, Finsbury Park. I was so fussy about having to get the right one, and i was exceptionally pleased with the dress that i picked.

Since the Miss Hertfordshire Finals, i applied for Miss Intercontinental England and i am a finallist for them too. I will be competiting in the Finals in Manchester at the Palace Hotel on the 8th April! I haven't got too long to find a sponsor, so if you would be interested in sponsoring me, please email me at courtneymelville93xo@hotmail.co.uk. It would be great PR for your company considering girls from all around England will be competing. I also applied for the London School of Modelling, seen on the hit TV show Models, Misfits & Mayhem. I was one of the 10% selected out of a large amount of girls applying weekly to be a student. I will be a student for a day, will get to know how the Modelling Industry works, create my portfolio, learn how to work with professionals, how to present myself, how to walk, how to look etc, etc etc.
Things really seem to be looking up for me!

Spots & Stripes

Blazer: Primark. Dress: New Look. Tights: Topshop.

I decided to wear two totally different patterns together and i was actually very impressed with the outfit that was created. I'm wearing a polka dotted dress with a striped blazer, an unusual combination. I wasn't sure about it at first, but i actually am a big fan of this, it's totally out of the ordinary and something you wouldn't see a lot of people wearing considering wearing stripes and spots together is a brave move.  Both pieces aren't quite black, but aren't exactly navy, they're that annoying inbetween colour, so finding something to go with the blazer inparticular is quite a difficult task. This outfit is quite sophisticated, and could easily be worn during the day or the evening, just a change of shoes and bag to create a different look.

I'm going shopping tomorrow in Font Hill in Finsbury Park tomorrow to try and get a nice dress for the Miss Hertfordshire finals on the 18th March. Yes, i know i've left it pretty late, but at least i'm going to get one i suppose. I have no idea what kind of style i want, all i know is that i don't want it to have a long sleeves and i want the length to be to the floor. I'm quite excited about trying on loads of dresses, makes me feel all pretty & feminine. Hopefully i find one that i like and fits beautifully!

Blazer+Belt: Primark. Top: New Look. Skirt+Tights: Topshop.
Ring: Ebay. Nails: Barry M.

I would much prefer to wear this outfit without the blazer, and possibly without the tights too, but i am an absolute sucker when it comes to the cold and i'm afraid some of my outfits have to suffer due to that. Just taking that one shot with the blazer off left me shivering for a good few minutes. I also apologise for how emotionless and wide-eyed i look in these photos, my insomnia seems to be back with a vengance, resulting in Courtney getting next to no sleep. Nothing a good cup of tea can't sort out.

I love this pastel yellow, lace top and i've been wating to wear it since i bought it but i found it quite difficult to find something to wear it with that wasn't black. The pastel theme is huge at the moment during this S/S12, so i thought it would be the perfect opportunity to pair it with a light coloured skirt too. This pink tube skirt i purchased about a year ago, it's quite long and stretchy and i find it quite hard to get it sitting just right due to this as it usually bunches. I whipped out a trusty belt to solve this and it kinda worked, it also seperates the yellow from the pink and adds a nice block colour in at the waist. I found this double ring cross on Ebay and i had to buy it when i saw it, i had one a while ago and it vanished (probably due to one of my dogs!), so it was definately time i got myself a new one. Rings never usually fit me as i have such small fingers, but this fitted perfectly - it was just meant to be!

I had acupuncture for the first time yesterday, for me, it was quite a scary experience, but i thought i can't exactly knock it till i've tried it. It was no where near as bad as i expected, but it did hurt. Perhaps i'm just a major wimp? I had it in my hand, head and knee. It was fine in my head, i didn't even feel it and forgot it was in there. But they attempted 5 times in my hand and it just wasn't having any of it and now i've got a lovely little bruise. It was only a trial to see if i would be willing to have it properly next time, i think i'm going to go for it, as i've heard the benefits from it can be so good and it really has helped some people i know. Have any of you had acupuncture? If so, did it help or not?

Jumper: Unknown. Skirt: River Island. Tights: Topshop. Ring: Accessorize.

This jumper is something that my mum got for her birthday a good few years ago and she hadn't worn once. So me being my good self decided to steal it from her wardrobe. I mean it's a crime to let a piece as nice as this go unworn right? The material is kind of a cross between feather and fur, and is just so cosy and is great for keeping warm in this awful weather here in the UK. I'm wearing a black skater skirt with this jumper, keeping the colours simple and also making the look, look rather classic. Although this outfit is very simple, i love the black & white look, it's just something that you can never go wrong with as the colours will forever compliment eachother, and you will always pull off a nice outfit. How cutes my little 'C' ring too?

Also, low moods and low self esteem - please go away.
